有一个星球叫做土豆星，土豆星上的人长的和地球人大体相似，土豆是唯一的食物，但是年产量每况愈下，国王薯革十分困惑，但土豆星探索到地球中国土豆岛为全宇宙土豆最优质星球，但一直未能与地球建立联系一架酷似金杯车的飞船误降落在土豆岛，土豆星国王走下飞船，被正在与村长调情的土豆岛书记老婆岚岚发现，将其逮捕。岚岚得知消息，希望包哥偷走外星人卖个好价钱并带自己离岛。村长为了记录外星人的点点滴滴召回做网剧导演儿子土鹏回岛拍摄纪录片。刘童通过包哥得知外星人错降土豆岛，几方势力一同登岛，准备坑蒙拐骗外星人。最终善良的刘童依靠自己的机智勇敢成功帮外星人得到了土豆，并且跟着外星人一起去了土豆星。
