在仙界“花之界域”，有一名善良的花妖名葛巾，流落凡间时，书生一良爱上了她。只是，彼时葛巾并不懂得什么是爱。二十年过去，孟良的第二世再次爱上了葛巾，然而，那个时候葛巾只懂得喜欢，仍然不懂得什么是爱。
又二十年过去，葛巾的心智已成年，懂得什么是爱了。她决定补偿对孟良的感情，也就这时，她遇见了孟良的第三世:常大用!偏僻的永安镇，百姓们被几只里狐妖侵扰，常大用是保长之子，肩负着保护百姓的单责。他勇于相当。全心保护百姓，对葛巾的纠缠起初很不耐烦，然而，当善良的葛巾为保护百姓而受重伤时，常大用终于感动，两人彼此相爱。
